Ballinfoile – Training and Supporting Local Groups

The Ballinfoile Castlegar Neighbourhood Centre provides the Community with the provision of facilities and the facilitation of essential services.  Their state of the art Centre houses a number of meetings and have a number of rooma to run courses thereby supporting individuals and groups in the area.. Through these facilities various groups and organisations provide essential services to the local community.

Examples of courses in the Centre includes:

  • Art
  • Barbering
  • Computer classes
  • Sewing

Examples of local groups supported by GCP include:

  • The Ballinfoile Mor Community Garden
  • Ballinfoile Mor Residents Committee
  • The Mens Shed

Some of the classes are held in hubs like Tirellan Heights National School and the Foróige Youth space.
